SWEDEN Owners of electric cars will be able to charge their vehicles in the new shopping centre, Mall of Scandinavia, in Arenastaden using one of the 27 charging points that Vattenfall will install in the garage.

The deal with Unibail-Rodamco, which owns Mall of Scandinavia directly opposite Vattenfall's head office in Arenastaden outside Stockholm, is the largest thus far when it comes to charging points in a single location.

The shopping mall, which was opened on 12 November 2015, consists of 230 shops on several floors and a total shopping area of more than 100,000 square metres.

The garage will have 4,000 parking spaces, 27 of which will be equipped with Vattenfall's charging points.

"It means a great deal to us that Unibail-Rodamco has selected us for such a large installation. It demonstrates a high level of confidence in us, and that we are a complete supplier with the right type of services for new builds within the property and construction sectors," says Erik Hagland, Head of Business Sales for Vattenfall in the Nordic region.
