World's largest offshore wind farm approved

Plans for the world’s biggest offshore wind farm have been approved  by the UK government, with planning permission for an array of up to 400 turbines off the Yorkshire coast.

When completed, the Dogger Bank Creyke Beck project will be more than double the size of the current biggest offshore wind farm, comprising of up to 400 turbines. It is expected to generate enough electricity to power nearly 2 million homes.
